The F5 hooked up with the original Cylons (as seen in 'Razor') and negotiated the end of the war, so it's no surprise that they're maintaining it.

HAH! My initial thought... But then again, we dont know a lot about how the biological constructs are made... That whole ship could have been made from a programmed embryo or polyp something... It may have grown to those proportions over the trip / past few thousand years.

Then again, we could be made to assume that it was built with Ellen on the spackle knife, Tyrol on a welder....... That would be painfull to accept.,,, And why i want more info on the stupid thing.

Didn't they say that they ressurected into a ship in orbit around Earth? Couldn't that have been the Colony or at least what eventually turned into the Colony with some help from the Centurions and early skinjobs?

EDIT: What I implied above is that the ship would've been made on Earth with assistance from other earthlings. Even if they kept the resurrection research to themselve, the could've gotten help with the ship.

That's the idea. The Colony is largely organic in nature, grown/built with a technology the Colonial Cylons perfected through their Hybrid experiments. Therefore, the Final Five could not have built it before meeting the Colonial Cylons. It probably houses the original vessel/facility the Final Five used to travel to the Colonies.

Considering that the Colonial Cylons just messed around with Hybrids before the FF came along and bumped them up to skinjobs, I'd say the Final Five knew a thing or two about bio-tech. Hell, for all we know (I think...) pre-nuked Earth could've utilized a lot of bio-tech in space ships and otherwise.

Yeah, I kinda thought of Wraith ships too. I guess there aren't a whole lot of ways to depict an organic space ship.

My personal favorite in that category would be the Lexx though. Giant phallus symbol with a personality that blows up planets and provides penis-shaped showers? You just can't beat that.

Difference here being, Wraith ships are f*&king awful. They get taken out by beaming nukes into them.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that particular tactic would take out most ships. It's like shoving a grenade down someone's throat. No matter how tough they are and how much body armor they're wearing, that's bound to kill 'em.

Well, we know from a spoiler vid that
we see Model 0005 Centurions in Daybreak; so I'm betting some holdovers from the first generation of clankers live there.

But, why wouldn't they have upgraded, and do they have the same thalmic inhibitors? Are they from the original Hybrid's contingent?

Cavil is really good at stealing other people's stuff--not so good at creating his own.

The Battlestar Galactica would just it's shit ruined by one too. There isn't a whole lot you can do against that no matter what ship you are using.

That's why they nerfed it almost as soon as they used it.

I can't get no relief

Oh frak. That basestar is tiny against the Colony. Galactica is not destroying that thing.
